Low steam pressure is beneficial to the safety of pressure-bearing parts and low energy consumption; but the steam quality is relatively poor, with low heat enthalpy and high humidity, which may be difficult to meet the needs of disinfection, sterilization, cultivation, heating, and power generation.
The higher the steam pressure, the higher the energy consumption, the higher the pressure on the corresponding steam-using equipment, piping, and valves, the more requirements for maintenance, and the greater the heat dissipation and leakage losses during steam production and transportation. At the same time, the salt carried by the high-pressure steam increases with the increase of the steam pressure. These salts increase the possibility of fouling, overheating, foaming, blockage, and even pipe explosion on the heating surfaces such as water-cooled wall pipes, smoke pipes, and drums. The steam salt entering the steam turbine will reduce the flow area of the steam turbine, reduce the internal efficiency, and seriously affect the heat transfer.
Therefore, the fireman must operate the steam pressure according to the regulations, and the fluctuation value of the steam pressure is generally allowed to be between 0.05 and 0.15MPa.
